This enchanting pair of 19th century nicolo intaglio rings features oval-shaped stones finely carved with depictions of Eros or cherubs, playing musical instruments: a lyre and a flute. Each ring has a different motif, and though small in scale, these rings possess full of character. Nicolo, a variety of onyx, is characterized by its distinctive layered structure, typically showcasing a translucent bluish-grey layer over a dark brown or black base, as beautifully exemplified in these rings.  Offered here as a pair, ideal for stacking on a pinky finger, they are also available individually.
