Victorian Black Enamel & Diamond Earrings

Victorian Black Enamel & Diamond Earrings

C. 1880–1890s. A pair of Victorian black enamel and diamond drop earrings. The pair features central solitaire old-cut diamonds held in classic claw settings. The stones are chunky and cushiony, weighing approximately 0.80 ct and 0.77 ct respectively, with an estimated I color and VS clarity. These diamonds are beautifully luminous, exhibiting the soft shimmer and evocative character unique to antique hand-cut stones.

The black enamel work surrounding the diamonds provides a strong contrast against the yellow gold, allowing the brilliance of the stones to truly pop. The main bodies of the earrings are crafted in 18k yellow gold, finished with 14k yellow gold wires for added durability. Weighing a combined 4.46 grams, they are lightweight and comfortable enough for effortless everyday wear. Overall, these earrings are in very good antique condition.

Total Drop: Approximately 21mm (including the top front wires)
