C.1900. An absolutely gorgeous and striking Edwardian diamond horseshoe brooch/pendant. Extra large scale adds a strong presence. The horseshoe consists of bright and lively thirty three old mine cut diamonds, and the stones dazzle beautifully. The total carat weight is approximately 4ct. Estimated H-I colors and VS/SI clarity overall. The horseshoe is set in platinum on top and 15k gold back, and it measures approximately 42.5mm (1.67") x 39mm (1.54") excluding the top loop. The brooch looks timelessly elegant on a dark garment, and as a large pendant paired with a gold or platinum chain, it can easily be a jewelry staple. The brooch clasp has an ingenious locking system with a tiny notch that keeps it stay secure. Overall this piece is in very good condition.
