C.1900-1910. A very special and rare pair of Art Nouveau gold 'Putti' earrings. The earrings are crafted in 18k yellow gold, and are composed of two different putti. One putto is playing a flute, and the other one is holding a lute - A beautiful token of 'love and harmony'.
These figures are three dimensional, and each one shows remarkable details - curly hair, chubby cheeks, little instruments, and the sculptural physiques of the putti. The earrings weigh 7.21 grams and 7.42 grams. They are not uncomfortably heavy to wear, yet feel nicely substantial and rich in hold. Overall the pair is in great condition with the natural patina in gold.
Total Drop (N-S) : Approximately 1.38" & 1.44" (measured from the top orb without the ear wires.)
