C.1780. A fine quality Georgian English mourning brooch/pendant. It is beautifully made with a row of seed pearls enclosing a transparent blue enamel band; this surrounds a rounded glazed crystal locket compartment containing a hand painted sepia miniature, depicting a well-dressed young girl with lambs. The brooch/pendant is made of 9k gold. English in origin.

There are two very small areas of enamel surface loss and a few small nicks showing on the crystal locket surface. Overall in very good and wearable condition.
