C.1870. A spectacular pair of Victorian Etruscan revival amphora earrings. The earrings are crafted in rich yellow gold that test throughout 18-20k. The details in gold show fine craftsmanship with the exceptional granulation and rope wire work. The amphora is three-dimensional with the continuous design elements all around the back as well, instead of being a half flat one. (see the photo #2 for the back.)
The earrings weigh 5.25 and 5.42 grams, and they are very comfortable to wear. The pair has been preserved beautifully. Overall the earrings are in great condition.
Total Drop: Approximately 1.81" (46mm) from the top disc to the bottom of the amphora without the front ear wire.
