C.1870. A stunning mid-Victorian enamel necklace and locket set. This rare Etruscan revival set features fine enamel work of white and powder blue colors and granulation with wirework details in gold. The chain is created with the nine open flower motif between the links, and it lays beautifully around the neck. We love the versatility of this piece, as the chain is gorgeous on its own as a necklace, and the large oval locket can easily be detached, and can also be styled with different gold chains. The enamel work is immaculate, and the locket has the matching flower disk pattern at its center. There is a compartment for a photo or memento inside the locket, and it still has the glass cover. Under the glass remains empty. The locket opens and shuts properly, and there is no dent or damage to it. The discreet clasp of the necklace doesn't interfere with the design, and it is in great working order.
We were thrilled to find this original set that has been conserved without separation. This set is crafted in 18k gold, and is in excellent condition with the natural patina in gold.
