Finely carved high-domed rose cut crystal is extra chunky, and light reflects beautifully with the facets. The shank is original. And the black enamel in scrolled details and the stripes on the back have been preserved in good antique condition. The 'pie crust' edge has also remained complete without missing any details.
Stuart crystal jewelry was produced in England under the silent support of the monarchy after the execution of King Charles I in 1649. His loyal followers wore Stuart crystal jewelry bearing his initials, miniature portrait or lock of hair.
