C.1820-1830.  A late Georgian or early Victorian mourning brooch. The 15k gold cased mount is beautifully adorned with black enamel. The center locket, containing woven hair, is decorated with highly raised, gold leafy scrolls around its frame.

It measures approximately 35mm x 27mm.

Despite minor signs or wear due to its age, overall the piece is in great condition.
