C.1821. A fine quality Georgian mourning ring. The ring is 18k yellow gold, and crafted with beautifully done repoussé work and black enamel borders. The slightly rounded middle area gives a more substantial appearance. The gothic script letters read 'IN MEMORY OF'. The inscription inside states 'Edu'd Kerrich esq, obt Jan 4, 1821. Aet 52'.  This ring is a great example of Georgian mourning jewelry that is highly collectable. Overall the ring is in very good condition.
