C.1880-1890. A rare Victorian sterling silver chain. It is hard to come across a Victorian sterling chain like this. With its extra length (just under 60 inches), the handsomely substantial large bars are connected to the chunky round links. The chain has English standard silver hallmark on the large ring. Each bar link measures approximately 1.65 inches x 0.30 inches. Any large silver fobs or pendant/locket would look wonderful with this chain. The chain weighs 79.5 dwt or 123.6 grams. Overall in great condition.
*Currently the chain has the closed-end. If you wish to open the chain with the clasp, A Victorian silver spring ring can be added. Please contact us for the availability and additional cost. The 4th & 5th images show our heavy Edwardian silver Albert chain together.
