C.1880. An exceptional Victorian owl seal fob pendant. The details are everything here. The hand-engravings for the layered feather pattern are absolutely superb, and each part of the figure such as face, wings, body and talons are all beautifully depicted. The owl is sitting on a tree branch, and it has vividly colored ruby and spinel eyes. The body of the owl is crafted in 18k gold, and the bottom base is a bloodstone. The stones would have been carved to be used as a wax seal, but it remains blank, which is perfect for your own personalization if desired. An owl represents magic and wisdom, and that adds nice meanings to this piece. Overall this owl fob pendant is in excellent condition without any damage to bloodstone either.
