C.1870. Very endearing and high-quality heart padlock necklace. The heart padlock (14k) and the key are attached to a beautiful 14k rich yellow gold Victorian chain. The key has a lovely detail of heart-shaped cut out.

The key does open the padlock, while the padlock can also open easily (without the key) due to its spring closure. The key has a spring bolt lock as well, so it can be easily attached or re-attached from the padlock. The back of the heart padlock is attractively engraved with the letters ‘CCH’. Other than a tiny shallow dent on the padlock on the right side (shown on photo), the entire piece is in very good overall condition.
