C.1870. A beautiful Victorian purse with hand-embroidered work. The dark green velvet is decorated with golden threads and beads. The purse has a metal frame with a snap closure placed at the top center. Inside, it contains a small notebook and a pencil, and the four-compartments, crafted with lovely bright pink silk. The gorgeously fashioned center metal divider panel snaps into the small top hook on the inside.

Though some spotting or rust shows around the metal area, overall the piece is in very good condition. The snap closure works securely. This well-preserved piece can work perfectly as a day/night clutch.
